Can you repeat the question?

An interrogation is "bothering" you?? Nothing like a good Frequently Asked Questions!
We've tried to gather here the most frequently asked questions about social networks in order to reassure you about how MATT Racing works and how it feels! Otherwise, you can always contact us by clicking here or via the social networks.

Question #1: What is the difference between cowhide and kangaroo leather?

Kangaroo leather is thinner, lighter and more stretchy than cowhide leather, which makes it possible to make a much more fitted and "close fitting" suit than a cowhide suit.

For the pilot, a kangaroo leather suit will be more pleasant to wear thanks to its lightness (about 3Kg of mins than a cowhide leather suit).

Thanks to its extensibility and fineness, kangaroo leather is faster, which allows the rider to have a suit that is quickly comfortable to wear. To try it is to adopt it ;)

Question #2: How do I "relax" the leather of my suit?

The simplest... Carry her! And have a little patience too!
The suits that you can find at large or small distributors in your area are, firstly, in standard size (and not made to measure) and therefore less "close to the body" and, secondly, they have been manufactured, for the most part, for several months and are waiting patiently in the stockroom to be worn. Their leather has therefore begun to relax by force of circumstance!

Little tip: completely remove your inner lining. This will allow you to remove a "layer" of fabric. You can wear anti-perspirant fabrics (leggings and long-sleeved t-shirt) under your suit if you are afraid of rubbing. You will already feel a little better to start relaxing your leather when you go for a ride. When you feel more comfortable, you can put your lining back on.

Question #3: How do I take measurements AND photos at the same time?

On its own, it's going to be complicated... With two it's possible, but with three it's better! The photos are very important because they allow us to see if the measurement was taken correctly.

We don't need the picture of the measurement itself (the number) but rather the way it was taken. That is why we ask to see the starting point of the measurement and the end point.

Use a pen or marker to draw the small lines that will allow you to mark the beginning and end of the game to be measured. Don't forget to place the string at your waist, because you can't see your belly button on your back...

Question #4: Are photos mandatory?

Yes! Let's go to question #3 to find out the why of the how...

Question #5: How can I send my photos in one go without saturating my mailbox?

All photos, measurements and sketches are to be sent by e-mail to
To make it simple, use the multi-file transfer platform you upload your whole file in one go by specifying your email and the sending email and click on TRANSFER.
It's as simple as going first!

Question #6: I don't have any graphics software to create my artwork or even add colors, how do I do it?

Very simple: you print the blank sketch you received and you make me a nice coloring ;)
Even with a pen, it works as long as you specify which color you want in the caption.

For "popular" logos that you want to integrate, download a jpg from the internet, rename it with a number that you will transcribe on a second blank sketch in the desired location.

for the less known logos of your partners, the best is to send us the logo of the latter in vectorial version (.ai or .eps) in CS5 or .pdf version of very good quality.

Question #7: My suit doesn't fit me, can I send it back for service?

MATT suits Racing are made by humans, not machines, and what's important to us at MATT Racing is that you have a smile up to your ears when you wear your suit.
A problem with your suit? Two solutions:

- Your service request is legitimate, proven by a good measurement with the help of photos: you send us back your suit and our service department will send your suit back to our factory so that the workshop can solve your problem free of charge. You will be asked to send us photos of yourself with the suit worn and to take new measurements before sending it to check your measurements at the time of your request.

- You abused the raclette and other aperitifs (depending on the season) which allowed you to weigh 10Kg between your first measurement and the reception of your suit. There, of course, you will be offered a price for the return of your wetsuit depending on the importance of the modifications to be made. Afterwards, you are free to accept or to start playing sports ;)

Question #8: Is there a difference in quality between the different models of MATT Racing suits?

All our suits have the same quality of leather, protection and finish. The only thing that changes is the level of customization.
The 100% customizable suit in DESIGN and COLOR in 1 or 2 pieces is the RACING or the GP.

Namely that a kangaroo leather suit is more expensive than a cowhide leather suit because kangaroo leather is more expensive to buy.

Question #9: What types of protection are incorporated in your coveralls?

Our protections are Smooth Ways branded and are CE level 2 compliant, which offers a higher level of protection than the level 1 products often used in the "standard" coveralls you can find at the major distributors.
To give you an idea, to the touch, the material used is very similar to the D3O more known by the general public.

Question #10: Can the "MATT Racing" logos change color or be deleted/moved?

Although they are made of rubber and cannot be moved or removed, the MATT Racing logos can however change colour to better integrate your design!

Question #11: If I take a "made to measure" jumpsuit, can I put a sweater under it?

When you take your measurements, we ask that you put the equipment you normally use under your suit.
So if you live with penguins and other polar bears AND you are cold AND you put a sweater under your usual equipment then put a sweater on when you take your measurements or check the box "I want to give some amplitude to my measurements" on your measurement grid.

Question #12: Are your suits waterproof?

Leather is a skin so it is waterproof. On the other hand not the parts in stretch kevlar which are on all the length of the arms on the inside and the back of the legs, are not.

On the other hand, our 1-piece suits are all perforated on the front at the torso level and on the top of the thighs so they are not waterproof in these areas. Nevertheless, you can ask that it is absolutely not perforated or partially perforated.

Question #13: What is the purpose of the aerodynamic hump?

The aerodynamic hump is simply aesthetic for the everyday biker but it can also be used to integrate a water bottle inside for long trips or road trips. This water bottle is connected to the front of the suit with a hose so that you can drink while riding.
However, the drinking bottle is an option that you must select when you order to have it installed in your wetsuit.

For the Pistards and other paddock champions, the aerodynamic hump bears its name well and everything is explained in this last lol.

It is standard on 1 piece suits and optional on 2 piece suits.

Question #14: Is the backbone that is in your suits homologated for the track?

No because, for the track, it is imperative, for safety reasons, to have a strapped backbone with a scratch that goes around your waist.
If you want to give it a try, it's up to the event organizer to authorize you or not to take the track with your integrated ridge.

Question #15: Is the integrated backbone removable?

Yes, because for the track, it is imperative for safety reasons to have a strappy backbone with a scratch around your waist. Nevertheless, whether you are a racer or a biker, all of our suits are equipped with a removable dorsal support of the Smooth Ways brand in accordance with CE standards.

Question #16: To start the track, a 2-piece leather suit or 1-piece?

It is always more pleasant and enjoyable to ride on the track with a one-piece suit because your movements on the bike are more present and exaggerated than on the road. The part between the jacket and the pants of the 2-piece suit could be annoying. But it's sure that if you're more eligible to have a coffee after a good ride or a good stuffing with your friends than to ride on the track, a 2-piece suit will be more appropriate to let your athletic body take the air after sweating like a fool because with a 1-piece suit... well you'll have the sleeves that will caress the ground ;).

Question #17: I have just placed an order, how much time do I have to send my measurements, photos and sketches?

After placing an order you will receive your small package "blank sketch + measuring guide". The manufacturing lead time being 30 to 40 days once your measurements and sketch have been validated, we can only advise you to send them quickly so as not to be taken by time afterwards when the time to go out has arrived .

However, there is no specific deadline for sending us your sketch and measurements.
